In a whirl-wind spinning, yeah somehow it knocked me off my feet
But I know better than to let it get the best of me
-David Archuleta, The Other Side of Down
OMA The Other Side of Down is fawesome. Both the song and the album. It started streaming on AOL like, yesterday? Yesterday yesterday?
And yeah, it's just freaking awesome<3 He co-wrote 10 out of 12 tracks, so it's a lot more 'him'. And it's just a really really great feel-good album.
Kay, anyway, huh, I'm posting this at school? When I'm supposed to be doing my Chinese SIA. Fuck. And yeah, I got an extension till Friday.
OH YOU KNOW Who I Am, THIS SONG ON The Other Side of Down, WAS WRITTEN WHEN HE WAS RUSHING TO A STUDIO SESSION, AND THE CAB DRIVER KEPT TALKING TO HIM, EVEN AFTER THEY REACHED, AND THE CAB DRIVER JUST KEPT THE METER GOING. AND INSTEAD OF GETTING PISSED, HE WRITES A NICE NOT-PISSED-AT-ALL SONG. PLUS THE DAVID ARCHULETA VERSION OF PISSED IS LIKE OUR VERSION OF CALM ANYWAY.
Screw sorry. It's just that it came on, and yeahh, it just popped into my mind. The song's really beautiful though, just so you know<3 Yeah, pretty much the whole album is.
ANYWAY. Hmm, the last time I posted was Saturday, my Grand Prix sobfest post.
Monday, idkk. Art? I glazed my fish-clay-thinga, which NgXin named Fishaye Monaghan, after Dominic Monaghan<3 And it fails, but heck. I presented it to her during recess, and she gave me an okay mark I think. Science, Physics, we went through papers. LA, we, went through comprehensions. Chinese we went through comprehensions too? Then Class Contact Time we picked songs for our video montage. We're doing some Something 'Bout Love<3/No Other mashup I think?
Yesterday, -ohh the Parachutes&Airplanes background music is kinda weird, compared when he sang it at that concert, at least- Geog. We revised Map Skills. Which is going to kill my EOY, not like I'm not already screwed enough for everything. 'Cause I got 4/20 for my Map Skills quiz in the beginning of the year? Mm. Then Science, Chem, we did random revision worksheets. Culture, idk, we got back our test and did some survey-reflection thinga? History, we went through papers.
CME, we had to do this skit thing, where my group was the only one which didn't prepare. Daphne and Divya had a really fail catfight. And NgXin's sound effects was freaking funny. Then Assembly was really short. We were briefed on EOYs, some seniors gave us this CmPS-ish talk, then, Mdm Teo told us apparently we're going to Sentosa for our batch outing? I really don't get batch outings. I mean, you're going to bring almost 500 students to one place, at once. Divya and I came up with this ingenious plan to hide in Universal Studios where they won't bother finding us because they won't bear to pay just to get in. Then we were released early.
Today, LA, we got our RAFT back. Bijou and I actually did quite well, considering the fact that we both fell asleep while doing it, and chionged it on the day itself. 14/20, mmhmm. And I got 18/20 for my Timed Trial, YAY. Even though it's because it was an easy paper, but still. It's like my first time getting above 15 for a compre. Chinese, we went through 词语s, and I'm really proud of myself for bringing the paper. Home Ec, we sewed hook&eyes, and push studs. Which was just really slack. Math, we went through a paper, then all the French/Jap people left halfway through for their written exam, so the rest of us just squashed together at the tables in the middle. Then we went through our ungraded SMAPP worksheet, which I actually did! And we got back our AP quiz, which I got 18/20 for! Then Physics, we just did quiz-thingas.
Whee, today was a good day. I got fawesome marks, and it was really slack. Except that I have to chiong my Chinese SIA now.
After I post about Chuck. I watched it yesterday on my PC, which would randomly die halfway. It was, pretty awesome. I shall not rant about it? Mm, except that it was really sweet. And I don't like that they re-employed the old Buy More employees. It was much cooler when all the employees were agents, and like, there was this part where Morgan was trying to prove something, and he just randomly took stuff and threw them, and some agent out of nowhere would just catch it.
Mm, and I want to watch this week's Glee's episode! It's that Brittany/Britney episode. Or is it Britney/Brittany? Idkk. Brittany's basically this main character, who's this cliche dumb blonde cheerleader.
OH AND IT'S ZACHARY LEVI'S BIRTHDAY TODAY<3
And I daoed my phone for the past hour or so and got a spam of messages and missed calls. From KangHui and Joyce. Huh, that's a very bad combination.
Yeahh, Chinese SIA.
